Ambleside has single, double, twin and family rooms and is non-smoking throughout.
All rooms are meticulously maintained and well equipped with freeview tv, tea making facilities and hairdryer.

We will always do our best to accommodate requests but at times of heavy demand, we cannot guarantee a specific room.

Q. What exactly is a guest house?

A. We are a small, family run business that provides a warm, personal welcome, a bed for the night(s) and a traditional English breakfast. Sorry but we are not a full service hotel with 24 hour facilities.

Q. So where can I get lunch and dinner or a drink?

A. There are dozens of cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs just a few minutes' walk from us in the town centre. We can give you some recommendations and sometimes even discount vouchers.

Q. Do you have a large family room?

A. Room 5 provides a double and a single bed. It is ideal for 3 adults sharing or a family of 2 adults and 1 child (over 7). Room 7 is also a large spacious room. Call for details.

Q. What time is check in?

A. While we are flexible about check in, arriving late at night is not possible as we do not have a night porter. Once you have checked in, you have a door key to come and go as you please.

Q. Do your rates include taxes?

A. Yes - our rates include room, breakfast, parking, wifi and taxes.

Q. What is the difference between a double and a twin?

A. A double room has one 4'6" bed, a twin room has a 4'6" bed and 3' bed.

Q. Can I pay by credit card or debit card?

A. Yes, but there is a 5% admin surcharge.
